After a long 7 years development of the movie Conan the Barbarian at Warner Bros. before the rights of were shifted to Nu Image/Millennium Films in the year 2007. The distributer went to negotiations with the film seeing many directors before settling on Marcus Nispel 2009.
It should be Arnold Schwarzenegger to take the role as Conan and it was set to be titled King Conan: Crown of Iron, but due to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s election in 2003 as governor of California, King Conan: Crown of Iron came to an end.
In the Year 2011, Jason Momoa was selected to take the role as Conan the Barbarian under the distributed company Lionsgate. Momoa beat Kellan Lutz for the role. He was enrolled in an intense six-week training program at a stunt and martial arts academy in one of the school in Los Angeles for his part while still finalizing negotiations for the film. And because of the role as Conan, Momoa intended to add 10 pounds of muscle with the help of David Leitch, an American actor, stunt actor, writer, producer and coordinator in action and fight.
Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa or known as Jason Momoa was born August 1, 1979 at Honolulu, Hawaii, United States and now he is 32 years old. He is an American actor and model. He is known for his role as Ronon Dex in the year 2005 – 2009 military science fiction television series Stargate: Atlantis. He also appeared as Khal Drogo in the HBO medieval fantasy television series “Game of Thrones” (2011). And now this 2011, he will portrayed as Conan the Barbarian.
